Roger Bennett occasionally referred to his favorite club, Everton, as "America's Team" during his (possibly aborted) campaign to solicit donations in order to purchase the club.

Everton is also referred to as "the Scottish play" in deference to cursing the team to lose. Davo delights in saying "Everton" when Rog uses the term.

Since the 10/30/2013 pod, Rog refers to Everton as Nigel (his brother's name).

Ironically, it was revealed on the 2/24/14 SiriusXM show that Rog's brother Nigel is actually a Liverpool F.C. fan. This is a #wheelswithinwheels moment.

From the 3/12/2014 pod Rog made clear that once Nigel are out of contention for any trophy, the season is over and you can go back to calling them Everton.

On February 7, 2014 listed as "Reason no. 4,251 why #GFOPs are the best: Chris Allgood sent Rog this divine creation. The world’s first Nigel Scarf. And with the snows battering the Crap Part of Soho Rog can confirm it is practical as well as beautiful. Chris commissioned the scarf from Etsy star Linda Hagan"

During the 2014 World Cup, Uruguay played England. The game was referred to as "Nipples vs Nigels" because of the tight-fitting jerseys worn by Uruguay.
